Canberra Musicians Club Insurance

The Canberra Musicians Club has a comprehensive insurance policy covering public liability ($20 million), volunteers insurance and participant (performer) public liability for all its shows. This cover can be shared by individuals and organisations for events of a musical nature, as well as by individual performers to cover their own liability Australia wide. The Club invites Canberra's music promoters, charity and cultural organisations and anyone else considering running a musical event to give us a hoy and we'll have a chat about covering your proverbial.

Event Insurance

The Club can cover your event for public liability and volunteers and performers liability for significantly less than it would cost to acquire single event insurance. Events that we insure must come under the Club banner (ie. the CMC Presents) and will be subject to a safety audit by our OH&S/risk management officer.

Performer Public Liability Insurance

Unlike the CMC, which insures all performers in its shows, many events and festivals are neglecting to obtain participants insurance, preferring to pass that cost on to performers who must obtain performer public liability insurance. This can be obtained from organisations like Duck for Cover which is currently charging $220 p.a. to insure singers and musicians. The CMC is offering performer public liability insurance to all its members for a measly $100 (on top of membership fees - $50 waged, $20 un(der)waged).
